Hey everyone! I'm not sure if this is an emergency but I figured it would just be best to post in here. My mom's cat brought in a bunny last night. It isn't hurt too bad, my mom said there is a little bit of fur missing and he has some scratch or bite marks but is okay. I am not able to go get him until Friday night but I could even use some advice to relay in the mean time. I know he will probably need antibiotics but what type? I have Clavamox and my mom might have some type of dog antibiotics but I'm not sure. My mom put some water, lettuce, and carrot with him and he didn't really eat anything. He may have taken a bite of the carrot but that's it. I'm attaching a picture because I have no idea how old he is, he doesn't seem to be too young. ANY advice is helpful!

dry oatmeal, clovers from outside, timothy hay, romaine, yogurt
not a bunny person... hope someone can advise faster than I can about the meds, but will start looking now..brb
rhapsody took in a bunny today as well... I am locking my doors!:) :D
the trick to bunnies is quiet and calm... work fast and leave fast..
my two did perfect alone in a room on low heat, no injuries though...brb

NO clavamox with a rabbit.:nono per WilD Mammal babies
baytril or ciprofloxacin would be safe, but not sure what else you can use...

Thank you :) I will pass this info along! My mom has him in his own room with low light. We used to have rabbits for a short time when I was younger so she knows how they spook easy.

I didn't think it would be that easy! I have clavamox for the sick/orphaned kittens I am taking care of at the moment. I'll ask my mom to see if she has cipro, I only have baytril for ears.

Sorry for the loss but bunnies, even domestics can literaly be frightened to death. They are very fragile animals. What is a minor injury to most proves quite often fatal for them.
