no wild cherry, willow bark has aspirin in it, so I would avoid that.

bamboo would be splintery, so I would avoid that.

i think there is a post on good trees in the nutrition section in the healthy diet sticky, so those would be the ones I would give.

apple is good, pear is good that is all I remember... oak is good I would assume.

Yes, from the triangle chart: Aspen, Birch, Apple, Black Walnut, Bottle Brush, Cherry, Dogwood, Hickory, Locust, Magnolia, Maple, Mulberry, Oak, Orange, Palm (NO SAGO PALM, Cardboard PALM or from the Cycad Palm family), 3-needle and 5-needle pines, Poplar, Raintree, Spruce, Walnut. :wave123

***Pecan tree should be on here, not sure why it isn't, I suppose it's an assumption!

Those are the safe trees for squirrels. Except for SAGO PALM, Cardboard PALM or from the Cycad Palm family. You want to avoid those.

My Pappaw always said that the wild Cherry trees were poisonous to cows. I wonder if they are bad?

I wonder if they mean tame cherry trees or wild cherries? probably tame ones I guess.

Don't worry about the sago palms or any other kind of palm, or the pecan trees -- we have none of those in NY. :D
Foamy, never give branches from those evergreen bushes that are in front of every apartment building and landscaped area around here. They are dark green with pretty soft pine-tree type needles? Those are YEW, and they are deadly. :nono
