Are there any babies around? Is the squirrel bleeding or have any wounds?

Please place the mother in a container with a blanket and keep her warm and in a quite dark room so she can rest...... do you have a heating pad? If you do, place it under the blanket and turn it on low. If you do not...... place 1 cup of rice in a sock (tie it in a not) then microwave it for about 30 seconds and place it next to the squirrel for warmth (or) you can put hot water in a plastic bottle, place it in a sock, then put the bottle next to the squirrel for warmth.

Let me check with the other rehabbers and see if we can locate some one who can help YOU!! --Hang in there. :Love_Icon

I have contacted a lady that works for the Malibu rehabers but she mentioned that if she was unable to move her back legs that it was best to take her to the shelter where they would humanly put her down. I just want to find a place where they will give her a chance to live the rest of her days without danger or harm around her.
thank you for all your help, if any other place that you might think of please let me know.

Look at your screen at the top of this post. It says in big letters on the top "The Squirrel Board" - then under that on the RH side is a block where it will say "Welcome MCA" and under that it says Private Messages in blue. Click that and select "send a private message" from the drop down window.

Type in the screen name - in this case it is SquirrelsOfWestwood - all run together like that. Anything sent this way is private - it does not show up to the rest of the board.

BTW, I sent them a note for you with a link to this thread.:thumbsup

If you suspect that this is a mother squirrel, please look for the babies so they can be rescued and transported with the mama to a rehabber.

No signs of baby squirrels, the ones around here that I have seen are already eating on their own.
