Since Island Rehabber told me on my intro post, I would be quizzed on the healthy diet food chart, I've been reading it carefully.... ;)

:WelcomeRebel & family! Please do go to our Squirrel Nutrition Forum and memorize the Healthy Diet -- there will be a pop quiz on Friday ---- just kidding but we are serious about squirrel health around here :D

Having reviewed it several times, I've discovered a typo. If you go towards the bottom of the chart to the blue bar labeled "Treats are fun....." there are sub-categories: fruits; nuts/seeds; insects.

Under nuts/seeds the chart lists: acorns, almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, walnuts

Under insects the chart again lists: acorns, almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, walnuts

The copyright at the bottom shows the chart is the property of Henry’s Healthy Pet Foods, Inc. Is there a person there to contact and let them know of the typo. Additionally, the copyright at the bottom shows the chart hyperlinked to The Squirrel Board is revision 12/11. Is it possible the typo has already been corrected and there is an updated version of the chart available to point the hyperlink too?

That link is for an older version. The latest version 2/13 is correct . It is the one in the Nutrition Forum (Healthy Diet for Pet Squirrels)

One thing I noticed before, too, but forgot to mention is that on the printable pdf version it still says peppers are ok to feed from group 1, even though they have been moved to the avoid list on the revised version of the sticky.

That must be on the old version as well...... as they have been removed from Group 1 and Moved to the Avoid List in the 2013 Revised version.

Right, so that pdf link should be changed (or removed) in case someone out there simply prints the page from the pdf link without cross-checking the revised version underneath it.

ALL excellent points!
I think that some place a link should be started so that Maura will know the problem areas.
We know one of them is the front page referencing Esbilac....:shakehead
I just don't know where it would get the attention....let me run this by Maura.:thumbsup
