My cat caught a squirrel, had it in her mouth and then dropped it after I yelled at her. I know nothing about squirrels! I was able to capture it and put it in a cat crate. I put sunflower seeds and almonds in there. It looked as if its front leg was injured but hard to tell if it was injured or just in shock. Looking for help. Thank you!!

This squirrel will need antibiotics fast as cat saliva will kill him.
Do you have anything?
Put him on low heat, under the crate, actually you may need to put the heating pad on medium. Put lots of fleecey type materials in with him, nothing that can catch his nails like towels. Keep him in an area that is dark, and quiet. I will look for help now.

I have liquid clavamox.

Do you know of anyone that would have Baytril (if they have an animal) or Cipro (human form) usually prescribed for UTI's.
What is the strength of the Clavamox?

Not off the top of my head. It reads: each mL contains 50 mg of amocilillin and 12.5 mg of clavulanic acid.

Is this a full grown squirrel? I know that you can't get a weight on it, but I will guesstimate since this is life and death.
I will send you instructions through a pm, along with a page that will help you from the Wild Mammal Babies Book.

It looks little but not a baby--from what I can tell.

So sorry I'm late to this but all I have is Doxycycline. Let me know if you need it. I'll be checking back often today. Also I can take him if need be.

Thanks, Kim. I'm sorry. I had a busy morning with the squirrel and am working today. Was planning on catching everyone up this afternoon. Thank you so much for the offer. Squirrel did well through the night and was accepted at Ohio Wildlife Center this morning. They will give me an update once he's done healing, etc. Probably not for a couple weeks though. I will provide the update. Thank you again for your offer and your concern.

This is her response to me. I hope this little one does ok. I just wanted to update everyone and thank you for jumping in and helping this baby. You guys are awesome. :thankyou

Keep my info for future use nancyinnewyork.
