We have a rather large family of squirrels that live in the trees around the house. They come to the window begging for goodies daily. I give then fruit, bread and unsalted nuts. I noticed that one of our females is laying around on thid one branch all day, barely moving. Is this unusual, I thought they were quite active during the day. I have put a bowl of water at the base of the tree as well as some strawberries. I did see her go down a nibble a little but she is right back to her spot on the branch. Is she dying? What can I do for her?

Please keep an eye on him, especially as it gets closer to sundown. See if he gets up and goes home OK or if he's shaky at the attempt, if he makes one.

She moved around the tree and seemed a little more active after the heat of the day. The strawberries are gone and I hope she drank the water. This happens to be at my daughter's house where I care for the grandson's so I will have my daughter look out tomorrow and see how she is doing. I am going to the beach. :D

She seemed okay, not shakey when she left her perch.
