Pretty frustated at this point.. What good are animal rescues and rehab places if they don't answer the phone or call back?

Try not to get too frustrated. The big rehab centers are usually overwhelmed with babies this time of year and they are probably all hands on deck to get everyone fed and they totally depend on volunteers (most of them do). Some of the others are home based rehabbers and they have full time jobs so they might be at work.

Did you try calling 2nd Hand Ranch? I know she does work full time but she has always gotten back to me very quickly.

I believe she also has the names and numbers of vets that will take the squirrel and get it to a rehabber on her website.

Im not really fond of driving in the city.... They like to send me tickets in the mail a few days later. Pesky toll cameras. I could meet you somewhere on the south side .. East Chicago maybe ? I guess it depends on where you are ...
