Rocky has worms

Rocky is my 3 year old baby, about a week ago I saw something that looked like a string stuck to her after further examination I was shocked to discover it was a worm about 4-5 inches long!! I took her to the vet and he treated with panicure, wich she had no problem taking, she loves medicine, I cleaned out her house and got fresh bedding for her bed. I started thinking I should have them test again after meds to make sure they are gone, well I just got the news they are still with us. She is doing well looks good, plays good, but I am worried, the Doc doesnt see alot of squirrels and isnt sure what else to do but give another round of panicure. Any ideas? I dont want this to get away from us and turn bad!

panacur is fenbendazole...
you have to retreat using panacure..

best to get biltricide [human med], or drontal plus[vet med]
also known as pyrantel pamoate, one time treatment and works!!:alright.gif

also called strongid T...

clean cage well...wash all bedding etc..:thumbsup

are you saying to use the panicure plus one of the other meds? At the same time? where can i find those? Thanks for your help.

ask vet if he has dontal plus....you really should not have to make another appt., just ask to pick up some.:)
if you are close to me, I have some on hand...
if vet needs dose advise {mg/kg} let me know what he wants to prescribe and I have sq friendly dose info as well.:thumbsup

no, I would not use more than one dewormer at a time...
the vet may ask you to come back for retreatment, that may work as well, as fenbendazole needs repeated applications to kill most worms..

I will talk to the vet about the dontal plus, I live in St.Pete so if I dont get it from vet I could make a trip over, Ill call now and see what he says.
