Clavamox

What is the correct Clavamox dosage to give a squirrel? He has had an abscess where a small bit of it won't seem to go down. I know Clavamox treats abscesses and infections. I have some Clavamox which I purchased online from shopeastwest.com
I would not be able to get medicine from a vet as they don't give out prescription medication to treat animals in the wild here unless they physically see the animal. He's a wild animal and not a pet.
The Clavamox I have is in 250mg tablet form so I would need to cut it up and crush it into food for him.

:Welcome Depends upon the weight of the squirrel. Could you guess or estimate his/her weight?

He's an adult of average build - not a baby squirrel. I'm not too sure what the average weight is. I'd estimate maybe 2 lbs?

Hi again, I want to help. A photo would be great. Would help est. weight & see the abscess too. Not sure about the UK, but here we get bot flys and the get under the skin and it looks awful, and kinda like an abscess. That's why a photo would be helpful.

Thanks for your help. I don't have a photo right now and even if I did manage to take one it wouldn't be close enough to see or show up. It's only a little swelling left in the middle of his cheek. But I have seen pictures of bot fly and I'm pretty sure it's not that.
