Looking for some advice for my 8 week old male Boris. He seems to have had some very soft stools for about 3 days now. He is eating well, active, not at all lethargic or sickly. Poor thing will be climbing on me and it just comes out. His sister is doing good and doesn't seem to have any problems. Boris is even still gaining weight; he is about 148g now and gets 9cc (just over the 6% calculation). He was the runt but is quickly catching up to his 152g sister. I had started them on Henry's squirrel block (about 1 a day) mostly for their teething. I was worried this was causing the soft stool (though it is just him) so I stopped giving it them. Any ideas or changes I may need to make in their diet?
Also, poor little Boris was quite stinky and had some stool on him, so I gave him a quick Dawn bath. While doing so I noticed he had a lot of what I'm guessing are little squirrel lice. He and his sister had them before and we got rid of most of them. I guess they have multiplied again. I read Revolution is safe for them. Is this true? And at their age?

Is he on Fox Valley? Are his poops gold colored? Does it stink particularly badly?
I do think that a drop of Rev is OK, but wait until tomorrow for someone more experienced to answer.
I'm going to bed in a minute, but people will want to know the answers to the questions I posted.
Also, make sure he stays hydrated. Gently pinch the skin between the shoulders. If it doesn't go right back down, like on the back of your hand, he needs some hydration.

*Yes, they are on Fox Valley squirrel formula.
*He does not appear to be hydrated.
*The stools are a golden color and slightly smelly.
*He still had it this morning, but again, ate well and is just as active as can be!
Should I add some plain yogurt or accidolphus?

Yes you can give a dot of revolution right between the shoulder blades. Just make sure you get the kitten/puppy revolution.
You could try adding yogurt, but for now, I wouldn't be too concerned with the soft stools. Watch it over the next day and see if they firm up. I saw that you are feeding the 6% but how often. Sometimes this can be from over feeding....but I'm not sure that is the case with Boris.
Give him a couple of in between hydration feedings. I would just do water and sugar. Also make sure to warm like you would the formula before feeding.
3 Tbsp sugar (tablespoon)
1 quart warm water
Store in the refrig.

We feed the 6% every 6 hours. Roughly their feeding schedule is 5am, 11am, 5pm, and their last at 11pm. Should we be stretching it out longer now that they are 8 wks old? I will get right on the hydration feeding to be on the safe side. Thanks
