I went home at lunch to feed Do Da and he ate half a block but wanted no FV. He always likes to sit in my hand for a while and I bring him up to my neck. When I did I could hear a soft wheezing clicking sound with each breath. He is still playful so I think this is just the start. He had moved away from heat and him being 10 weeks I went ahead and took it out of his cage. (I put it back in at lunch) :dono He only aspirated once since we have had him at that was about 4 weeks ago. Not sure which caused it but need help dosing. Vet is out of town and all I have is Ciprofloxacin HCI 250mg tablets Do Da weighs as of yesterday 254 grams.
Thank you in advance.

I had a ten weeker that almost drown herself by drinking too much. I had to do antibiotic and steam her in the bathroom. Hope Do Da will be ok.

Got it ! Thank you Jackie. :Love_Icon :Love_Icon :Love_Icon I thought he was a bit old to get pneumonia as well but we have had to slow him down on the syringe lately because he will suck too fast. (Using a 3cc) He hasn't actually had FV come out his nose so I am not sure. Did I possibly take him off of heat too soon? He was sleeping in a different place completely so I didn't think he needed it any longer. I feel so bad not sure what caused this! I do hear the rattle in the chest. It was very quite in the house just me and him with nothing on and he was calm sitting by my ear. Should I wait and watch? I just know they go downhill fast.

ABs ... better safe than sorry if you think it's possible...
may cause soft poops...hence the probiotic.
If you hear rattles/pops with every breath... I would.

Can I add a little sugar water to each dose to make sure he will take it? Or any other suggestions?

I am one to want the meds in the baby.. I do not play sugar water games.. I dose the meds!!
I want to make sure the sq gets every bit.
then, I give a nice tasty syringe of something delicious, like FV, to wash it down.:)
But yes others will mix wilth koolaid and margarita mix and maple madness..yada yada...
:osnap :D
place the syringe in the corner of his mouth and plunge!
