Five yr old male, rescued at 16 wks, excellent health until recently. Suddenly prefers to spend most time in nest box (until now has always been very active,) doesn't want to be bothered. Eats, but mostly fresh fruit & veggies with little interest in nuts, seedballs, or rodent biscuit. Urinating, defecating O.K., weight good & no other outward symptoms. Rat room-mate died appx. 3 mos. ago, not sure if it was myco but can't rule it out. What symptoms did your squirrels present with?

critterlvr, 13 years is an amazingly long life for a squirrel. When you have a minute, PLEASE share with us this squirrel's diet and daily routine. Wow. :bowdown
