I hear clicking, he might've aspirated although I can't say for sure, But I do have some medicine but not sure which would be best. I have Septra and Orbax. Can anyone tell me which would be best?

Is there any chance you can get Baytril? Or the human counterpart Cipro?
Is she clicking with every breath? How old is she?

See if you can get Cipro or Baytril.
Cipro is widely prescribed for women with UTI, so ask around, please copy down the site link that is in my signature, as the board is going down sometime tonight.

edit: SammysMom is much faster than I am.....:D

He is approx. 3 weeks, yes with every breath, I didn't notice it this morning, I can't find Baytril or cipro. Very worried....he was doing so well

OK get a weight on him and tell me what strength Septra you have.

Also, take my email, and just email me now, so that I have your email address in case the board goes down, then I will send you dosing instruction through email.

Not sure which Septra, he was on it a week ago and I was given it from a lady in a syringe, just about 2 Ccs left

What was he on it for? At the time, what dosage were you giving?

OK I am going to send you a pm, and you can see for yourself. I think that is the correct amount for this weight also.

edit: Have you kept that in the refrigerator?

Just to jump in here: Orbax is orbifloxacin and is in the same class as Cipro and Baytril. It can be safely given to squirrels for pneumonia, as well -- use whichever one you have more of, so that you can keep the baby on it until he's well.

I had gotten her email before the board went down, just in case there was a problem. We corresponded a little last night, and unfortunately the little one passed. :(
I sure hope that she sticks around. We can use great people like her.

See I didn't know that.
I believe that Septra is in the same class as Sulfatrim, but didn't know that about Orbax.
Thanks for the info.

You all are so helpful. So quick to get the info back to others, and yes, I will definitely be sticking around! :jump
