If anyone interested in wildlife rehabilitation can get to the CWRA Spring meeting on Sunday, April 7, I strongly recommend it. This is a terrific group of people, very professional, and their meetings are always both interesting and very informative. You don't need reservations; you can pay at the door and it's a minimal amount ($25?) which includes light refreshments and a year's membership. You do NOT have to live in CT.....I don't, and I'm a member.
The meeting is at the Kellogg Nature Center, 500 Hawthorne Ave in Derby CT 06418. Phone# 203-734-2513.
9:00am - 4:30pm
Topics this year include:
Innovative methods for Keeping Mammal Babies WILD :thumbsup
Raptor and Mammal Re-uniting Techniques :thumbsup:thumbsup
Lightning Osprey
Medical Math (hoo boy! :shakehead:sanp3)
Rehabbing 101 :attention
The Biology of Re-uniting/Wild-Fostering
A Beaver Rehab Case Study
If anyone would like to go from the NY metro area or anywhere south of Derby, let me know. Maybe I can pick you up. :)
