View Full Version : pausing during feeding
When I am feeding my babies, i make sure i feed them slowly to make sure they don't.choke or swallow wrong and it comes out their nose. But even.though i feed slowly they pull away after a few seconds and pause still, strain their mouth and make a funny face and it looks like they are swallowing when.they pause. Why do they do this?

Like a "guppy" sort of face? Just touch them gently to reengage them in eating. Move the nipple around their mouth or something to get their attention.

Yup. It is kind of a nursing trance. Very odd - some do it a lot, some never. You just need to figure out what makes them "re-engage" - I used to use the tip of the syringe to tap the top of my boy's head...while humming the "Twilight Zone" song - some wiggle it around in the mouth - they are all little individuals though.
Aww, Haha ok thank you (:
