My 6 week old male baby has mild diarrhea. Started yesterday. I have given him straight water in the last few minutes and been rubbing his tummy. He is still eating good. I feed him the fox valley formula with a little cream added. His 2 sisters are doing great. I have had them since they were about 2 weeks old. They were in my purple martin house. What should I do to help my baby feel better?

Which Fox Valley is it? The 32/40 or the 20/50?
You might want to cut out the heavy cream.
What are the weights, and how much are you feeding?
Are these grey squirrels?
Does he appear bloated?

Maybe no cream for a while. FV is great nutrition without the cream.

FV 32/40. He does seem bloated tonight. It seems to be getting a little more watery in the las few minutes.

He is eating about 6cc every 4 hrs. Don't know his weight, sorry. Have been talking to a rehabber on the phone and I may have over fed him. It has changed to a white paste now not yellow. He is not lethargic but just not as active as the other 2.

OK white poops are an indication of overfeeding.
You should get a gram scale so that you know how much to feed, and if they are gaining weight daily.
You can get them at any Walmart or Bed Bath and Beyond. They are under $20. and pretty much a must when raising babies.
Can you post pictures?

Wonderful!
IF they bloat you can give a couple of drops of infant gas x (simethicone).
AND never feed a bloated squirrel.
Sorry if I am repeating info you already know....:D
We love pictures, can't wait to see the little stinkers.:)

I went to Wal Mart today and got some scales. Peanut, the one that was sick male, weighs 134g, Butter, female weighs 125g and Jelly, female weighs 104g. All doing good today. Also purchased some yo baby. But all I could find was pear and banana flavored. Is that ok? Got some plain greek yogurt also.

Here are a couple of pics. One is 2 days after I got them and the other one was a couple days before they opened their eyes.

As far as I know the flavor doesn't really matter (as long as its not off the wall flavors like keylime pie) any fruit flavored yogurt will be ok. They also like vanilla, my boy Hiccup goes nuts for it :rotfl For yogurt, especially in babies, what matter most is that its full fat and all natural.

Oh yes the flavored is fine!:thumbsup
Some just prefer the vanilla, it seems to be the most popular. :D
Oh the weights are great!
Remember to feed 5-7% of their body weight, that's the "rule of thumb". I tend to give more if they want it,
but you have to watch for bloat, and NO hard tummies,
sometimes these little ones don't know when to stop. :shakehead
Nice job there!!!!!!!!!!

My boy LOVED pear - they haven't had it in my stores in some time. Banana is a fave too.:thumbsup

I started with an eye dropper and have graduated to syringes. I have been purchasing my stuff online. I will try to get a current pic at the next feeding if they can sit still for one. Thank you everyone for all the good advise and help!! I love love love taking care of all these babies!!!!
