I've had a squirrel chewing on the fascia under the eaves of my house. signs in another area where they've chewed a hole, possibly in attic. Today, I received two dc2p pine/whitewood KNwoodworks squirrel houses and I'm wondering if I should attach these under the eaves of the house in the hopes of keeping the squirrels from using my attic or if I should place them in trees in my yard. I have a .25 acre lot in town. Several trees but the largest with a 25 to 30 inch circumference. I have two smaller oaks in the front of the house within 15 feet of the house. Circumference less than 20". If I do place these houses in trees, how far up and do I use wire? High winds in Texas. Handyman will be here Monday to install. Thanks in advance.

:Welcome Howdy there in Texas. I don't know what type of squirrel house you bought, but it sounds fancy. :)
The best house my sq. love has a predator escape floor, like the one I won on our RAFFLE (Thanks MM's BF!). :D

As for placement, since you have two, maybe you could place one up in the trees, as high as possible (at least 8ft or higher)& the other one under your eave, yes?
Just make sure there is a branch/limb access that the squirrels can use to enter & exit new houses.
Good luck & :thankyou for caring about your little fuz heads.
