Hey all

New to the board and an old animal lover. Any way I dont have any captive squirrels or other pets. A few months back I was sitting in my 3rd floor apartment when I heard some noise out on my balcony. I saw an adult grey munching on leaves on my balcony. I decided to feed it some pistachios and after a couple months my balcony has become the hot spot for squirrels to have breakfast. There is almost always plenty of nuts and clean water for them to much on. I have enjoyed watching them and I have been lucky enough to catch them on video a few times. Below is the link to the video on you tube which I made.

I loved your video. Umm, I think you need a heavier water bowl but that sure was funny :jump :jump (especially loved the slow motion). :D There are a lot of us NUTS in Florida. Welcome aboard LJ. :thumbsup

pebbles in the water bowl will weight it down.. I liked the slow mo too!
have you named any of the regulars?
years ago, we would play cards with the second floor sliders open at a very large complex... the sqs would come in...they knew where the fridge was... found the fruit bowl...they made the rounds, everyone fed them...social mooches!:D
They love hazelnuts and almonds!
Welcome to TSB!:wave123

Poor squirrel. :rofl4 He almost jumped out of his own skin. :rotfl
You can find one of those wide bottom pet bowls at a pet shop.
Just need a small one. Squirrels can't tip those over. Then, what's the fun in that? :D

There is one of the regulars that I call Pat. I called her Pat because I did not know her gender until later. Here she is barking and chatting while she eats. Notice the large chip in her left ear.

Here is Pat protecting her balcony from the one male I call Mario.
