About a month ago (Rocky is about 5 years old) when he jumped to the front of the cage to greet me, I noticed his balls looked different. They have always been very furry and "normal", but on this occasion I noticed part of the furr was missing - I mean clean gone, not just "some" hairs missing. Also it was very pink, but it did not appear to be inflamed. Also, it did not appear to be from a scrape in the cage. It has continued this way, still pink, until about a week ago when I noticed it had turned the normal color of his skin, but still without hair. Also, further up on his underside, he is missing some hair in spots, as well. Has anyone experienced anything like this with their squirrel? He is also very "feisty" which I usually attribute to natural urges, but I am not sure I would be able to tell if he actually were uncomfortable.

The only thing I can think of is diet. What is Rocky eating?
