Hiccup is a grey squirrel but he's always been really red, up until now. He's starting to get grey spots on him. They started on his hips now he has another spot on his neck/shoulders. Do grey squirrels turn grey? Or should I be concerned about this?

Some grey squirrels are quite brown during the warmer months and turn grey for the winter. It's a kind of camouflage process.
I have some here that were brown in the summer and who by now have turned silver... if I had not had them come over every day to feed I wouldn't have recognized them.

So it's normal and I shouldn't be concerned?

:wave123 xHiCCUPx! My Squirt was real brown but within the last couple weeks he's becoming more gray too. I thought the same about the weather becoming colder. I think it's a normal change from what I've seen.

Oh yes this is quite normal. The deer here change colors too. This helps them blend in with the winter foliage then the turn more red/tan in the spring to stay blended in.
Our grey is getting silver spots on her hips and rear end, but the ones in the back yard are already all silver. :thumbsup
