Edamame soybeans in the pod

I bought these thinking they were grean beans in the frozen food section and the squirrels love love them they grab them first but I do not know if they are good for them. As a rule I figure anything they love must not be good for them so I am just asking if anyone knows if they are good for the kids or not. Both of my squirrels grab them first.
