I live on the Westside of Cleveland by Lakewood Ohio. Inquiring if anyone knows of any vets who treat wild squirrels? There is a wildlife center in Bay Village Ohio and my impression is that injured squirrels are usually euthanized.
Cleveland is not close to Perry, Ohio (Squirrels Rule & Bunnies Too- love her!) A ride there may cause too much stress.
My problem is a female wild squirrel has a dental issues. She's almost emaciated. Probably 1 to 1.5years old. For almost a week, I've been feed her a food processed paste of hazlenuts, walnuts and pecans with rice protein powder, reptocal w/D3, macha (some green tea powder,) cooked and food processed steel cut oats and a little natural peanut butter. Sometimes I mix pear baby food with it. Today, I mixed in some Ensure Clinical Strength 850 cal/8oz. She was famished when she came to my mudroom door, as she usually is. She consumed about between 2-3 oz of this mixture. I also made a peanut butter and Ensure drink- which she drank 0.5oz. Concerned caloric intake is insufficient.
I feed, water and have houses in trees for the wild fox squirrels. I love them but I'm allergic to animals.
If anyone knows of a vet that will treat squirrels, would appreciate the info.
