I had asked a "behavior" question not long ago about my kids enjoying standing on the side of their house and peeing OUT of it. Of course, they don't want to pee pee where they sleep/eat, etc., so that made perfect sense. :tilt

I purchased a corner potty box with critter litter hoping that when I got a bigger house for the kids that they might use it for peeing instead of the outside of their house! Guess what?!?! IT WORKS!!! :multi They love to pee in their litter box and now the blankets, bedding and cage in general do NOT stink! There is caging over the litter, so they don't eat the litter or get into the soiled areas.

Just wanted to pass along that it was a great investment and I could not be more thrilled!! (I especially don't mind not getting pee peed on when standing next to their house! LOL :wott

Great news...
did you put a piece of soiled blanket into the box to give them the idea what it was for?? or did they just know???

To be honest, I did not even think of putting the soiled blanket in there! I did put it in the same corner of the "big" cage as they were going to to pee pee in their small cage, so maybe that helped!!!

My Honey has a corner potty and uses it too.
My only problem is that she learned how to flip the metal grate. She was trying to hide her broccolli. Guess she thought it gave her a potty mouth, cause that's where she hid it.:D
Good luck with yours. I need to weight Honey's down w/ a rock.:)

my 8 week old is doing fantastic at potty training! She only urinates in her box. I customized a wire grate to fit snugly over it so she cant get to the litter.
My question is what is the best brand or type of litter to use?

thanks for all your guidance!

Carefresh - all natural, no additives. Sold at PetSmart and most pet supplies. I think even Walmart carries it but not sure.
