How & When to Insert a G-Tube

How & when is it approriate to place a gastric tube in a baby squirrel.? How do you check for placement.? Do they stay in easily?

I do not believe in using feeding tubes for sqs...
it's not advised.
I believe neonatal possies need to be tubed.

They sell G-tubes on-line (they must be for the oppossums) and I have inserted many into humans,but never squirrels.It seems difficult to do as delicate as squirrel are.Just thought I'd asked if someone is familiar with this procedure.
