Hickory Nuts
Red Oak Acorns
Bur oak acorns
All picked fresh, of course.

I know hickory nuts are ok.
I don't know for sure about all the different acorn types,
always figured they were all good for squirrels.
Lets see what the nut experts say...:dono :thinking :thumbsup

If the wilds eat then, mine get then.. just put the acorns in water first to make sure they sink, if they float, throw them away :D

WAIT! Isn't it the other way around? If they have worm-holes in them, water goes in and they sink.....:thinking

no ...once they have a small crack oxygen gets in which starts decay and they float, solid and closed are fresh and sink from the weight :D
