Kink in tail

I will get some pics of it I the morning but this afternoon after penny's 3pm feeding around 6 tonight we noticed penny had a kink in her tail right around the middle of it it wasn't like that at her 3pm feeding but at 6 was when we noticed it dosnt seem to bother her but we don't know what happen I don't think it's sore because I can feel the spot and she don't whine or try and wiggle a way or nothing all 3 were rough housing earlier before we saw the kink we went to the store and when we came home was when we noticed it not a bad kink you can only really see it when the light is behind her that's how we saw it like I said I don't think it hurts her just worried will take pics in the morning but heading to bed thank you

i dont know what happen to her tail it wasnt like this when i fed her yesterday at 3pm but around 6pm when i let them out for out of cage time was when we notced this kink in her tail not sure what happen maybe you guys can let me know it dont hurt her that i know of she lets us feel it and touch it no problems and it feels like a little bump where it is kinked but i think that is bc its kinked no sqeeking or squealing or nothing when we touch it i dont know if they all were rough housing allitle to hard or what just worried bc of the kink and not sure what happen

It appears to be a fracture, could she have caught it on something in her cage?

Nothing that I know of we were thinking maybe she was sitting on shelf with tail hanging over and may done of her sister grabbed it bc it kinda looks like it may have been folded over the shelf other than that I don't know i don't think it hurts her she dosnt seem to bother her she still acting like she was before we noticed it

Will a fracture heal on its own will she always have the link in her tail now Im still not sure what happen it dosnt seem to bother her at all she still acts the was she always has as I'm typing this she is running around the cage with her sister just didn't know if there was something I had to do or if she will be fine

Happens in the wild all the time, she will be fine as long as she does not start to chew at it.
Not saying she will but some have. If where the fractures located still has blood flow, she'll just have a kinked tail.
If the blood flow was cut off from the top section at the point of fracture she will lose that end of her tail.

Generally it just dries up and falls off somewhat like a scab. You do need to watch for infection,
in some cases the dying section has to be removed by a veterinarian.

Edit: They (squirrels) don't have image issues... they don't let it bother them. :rotfl
