Either my kids (the squirrels) have lost their mind or I have gone insane, so I come to my now favorite place, TSB, to see which of us is crazy - them or me! :tilt

My kids have started a "new" thing. They apparently find it fun to climb up the side of their house (cage), look at me serenly, and pee. My little girl finds good aim, managing to hit me and her brother while he is nursing! I finish nursing him and so then it is her turn to eat.... I look to see him standing/hanging on the bars of his house peeing into the blanket that covers the back of their home....:nono

I have never had any of my kiddos do this before, so I am curious if they are showing off to me or of this is normal behavior. :dono

Thanks!

Teri

Totally normal, they don't want to pee in their nest. :thumbsup

ROFL... OK, I was just shocked to get peed on when feeding her brother! I never noticed any of my kids doing that before! LOL

When I put Sammy out in his outdoor cage every morning, he immediately runs up the wall next to the door and tries to pee on my from above...:shakehead

Well that might be behavioral :D I've had a squirrel every now and then that loved to piss on me.

Her babies are little and sweet and just trying to do what comes natural and keep their home clean. :thumbsup

You can put something there to catch the drips, a towel or paper towels.
