new owner

hi , i just baught 2 chipmunks a male and female. i've been told they are 2 months old. when i got them they were in small tiny cage and seemed really friendly and when i took them home i've put them in a bigger one and it's also nicer and much cooler. with tubes etc. now i noticed they're very afraid of me. everytime i go near them they run somewhere to hide and start shaking. i bought them 4 days ago . last time the female took a peanut from my hand . but they still look frightened . does someone suggest anything ?

were you given a suggested diet?
In Nature, I don't think they would eat peanuts...
Have you tried introducing them to vegetables yet?
Squirrels in general have a high intake of calcium rich foods, so greens are good for them...
I have never had a chipppie, so will wait until a chippie expert comes on
to share safe healthy diet and knowledge...
Clean water is a must everyday, whether from a bottle or a bowl.

Is the big cage big enough to fit the small on in. sometimes the the change can be a bit frightening if they have been in the same cage for some time.
