I have 2 12 week old squirrels, and the female is starting to get a much larger belly, and wider hips..:osnap .is it possible for her to get pregnant this young, by a male her same age??:thankyou

I can relate......:shakehead........female squirrels go into heat the first time at 6-7 months old, and grey squirrels rarely breed in captivity. Strongly doubt your girl is preggers.

well, I dont think so. The females usually do not breed until the spring when they are about a year old. But who knows. I really dont think she is pregnant. Just chunky:)

As a person who did have overwintered greys breed in captivity, I would still say your girl is pretty young. Watch for her building a serious nest and chasing the male out. But I doubt she is preggers. Just maturing from the sounds of it.
