Baby Squirrel--I'm Trying, But Need Advice Very Soon

3 1/2 weeks ago I discovered 1 baby squirrel in my attic (eyes were not open then). I was hoping the Mama would re-locate her but she did not. Today I discovered evidence of chewing wires above the nest. I hated to do it, felt I had to move her for her safety as well as my family's. The baby has its eyes open and moves on its own. From the pictures I am guessing it is 6 to 7 weeks old. I attempted to give her warmed Pedialyte, but she wasn't liking it.
I am now going to try to put her in in a well-insulated box out in the tree the Mama uses to access the attic. It is late here, but I will stay up to keep
the neighborhood cats and foxes away. Is the Mama likely to return? If not, I will bring her back inside. Will the baby eventually take some Pedialyte until I can get her to a rehabber? I have to work tomorrow and no one else will be at home.

Momma is not going to come at night, she may return for baby early morning. I would bring her in and try at first light if she can be watched. She may have fed already and is not hungry now but she will be soon.
Going to try and direct help to this thread by posting in life threatening...

I'll watch for it.
As S, mentioned, night isn't the best.
Right now, at this hour, I hope you might be thinkung of setting the baby where he/she can be found.
Mother squirrels have a very strong maternal instinct, and she may take the youngster back.
If she doesn't, then you're stuck with all of us nuts. :D

My spelling sux at 4am. :rotfl
