I found a baby squirrel yesterday afternoon below an oak tree- think I saw the mama but she did not come to its rescue. I am unsure of the age- guessing 8 to 10 weeks old. Covered in fur, and bushy tail, eyes open. It is not moving it's back legs. :( I brought it in and put it in a box with a fleece blanket and a warm rice sock. I fed it the homemade pedialyte recipe that I found on here last night as I did not have any of the ingredients to make the homemade formula and it was too late to get any last night. I did run out this morning and got the goat's milk, yogurt and heavy whipping cream to feed to it. It has eaten probably 7ccs of the formula, and I think it has peed, but I have not seen any poop. I am concerned about it. I am hearing some clicking when it breathes, but I am afraid to pick it up because of its injuries. I am new to this, and have never cared for a wild animal before. It has slept on and off this morning and is not moving very much. Can anyone give any advice on what to do now? I am afraid I don't know what else to do for it.

Can you give a more specific location? There may be someone near you that can take him.
If the clicking is with each breath, he has pneumonia...he will need ABs immediately.

He is very comfortable, medicated, bathed and eating well.
Such a sweetie! Loves to be held.
I'm concerned about the pneumonia (clicking continues), a few more doses of ABs will tell me more, but he has a lot of energy.
His left eye seems to be set lower than his right also and he tilts his head to the left a lot.
I have to load his pics from the camera and will post so others can see. No movement in his back legs, but SEEMS to respond if I squeeze hard enough. Time will tell with those.

Doing better today! Clicking is almost gone and he has lots of energy.
His hips move, but no movement in his feet. He lifted his tail also....good sign, right?
Eating wonderfully, but still very skinny and so sweet how he grabs the syringe with just his left hand.
Just 3 hard black poops The muscles down there work from what I can tell, so Ill give him another day before I worry.
Here are pics...his left eye is slightly smaller and set slightly lower.

msriri,
He looks so cute! I am just praying for more movement in those hind feet/legs. Thank you so much for the update and pictures. I am so glad I found you and this board, and you were able to help the little guy. Please keep me updated. I feel so attached to him, even though I only had him overnight. :)
