I feel like I can't do anything right.

My bigger baby went from diarrhea for a few days till I got the FV, to perfect poops for a day, and now he's been bloated and constipated for the last 12h. I've gotten him to poop a few times, and this morning first thing he had 2 large groups of 10 poops each, came out stuck together. I've been feeding only water alternating with pedialytepedialyte, apple juice and simethicone about every 1-1.5 hours. Even after those big poops this morning he's still bloated. I've also been doing warm butt baths with massage. I've been trying to follow the info I found on the Bloat Protocol thread.

What else can I do? How often should I be doing the simethicone and apple juice and how much of each? He's about 65g. He hasn't had formula since 7p yesterday and it's 11a now.
I'm at a loss. I feel like I'm failing them :( I'm going to the vet today for fluids and SMZ-TMP today, anything else I should get?

Every couple of hours for the drops. I would just do pedialyte and continue to do warm soaks. Did you start on diluted fv or did you go straight to full stregnth? How much/how often has he been eating?

I did a gradual change from the GM, was getting 3ml every 3 hours.

I would (after you get through this) keep him on 50/50 gm/fv until after his eyes open. Some babies seem to have a harder on time digesting the fv. I would also increase the time to 3.5 hours between feedings (or even 4 hours) to see how he does.

This Ssems to have resolved finally thank god. I was so worried =[ We're now on a 5x/day every 4 hour feeding schedule. They seem to be doing well with it. The number one thing I think helped with his constipation was getting some SQ LRS. Crossing my fingers he stays regular! :thankyou
