Single Baby heat pad

I've read that if it's a single baby keep using the heating pad, if that is correct at what point do I need to start weaning her away from it?

I give my single wee ones a heating pad and a rice buddy to cuddle up to and I don't take them away until the age of 7 or 8 weeks (I spoil them, I know); sooner for some, when I see they ALWAYS go to sleep away from the heat source I figure they're saying it's ok to take it away :)

I also insert an old tic-toc alarm clock inside a padded sock and place that in or against their container - reminds them of a heartbeat and helps calm them down.

I left mine until Sammy chose to leave it. He was probably 10 - 12 weeks old. Spoiled but very happy...:D
