With my reptiles I use 1 part mouth wash to 3 parts water because it is one of the only safe ways to clean their glass terrariums.
My girls have their own reptile cage because the reptile heating pads are more stable than human heating pads and I don't have to worry about cooked babies or chipping/breaking teeth on the glass.
Do you think the mouthwash would be bad for them?
How about lemon juice?
I don't feel comfortable with strong chemicals but...
I can almost see my little ones licking the mw/water soultion off the walls!!
Any suggestions?
:thankyou

I use white vinegar and water to clean my cages, good for reptiles and fuzzy friends! :)

I use a solution in a spray bottle of 1 part water and 1 part white vinegar. It is very effective, completely safe, and cheap! After I clean with the solution I use a water-moistened paper towel to get the vinegar smell out.

I use water & vinegar mixture, too. If I have it I add one part lemon juice, too. Also works great to let the cats understand "no"! As for the smell... I just pretend its Easter!
