Saturday I notice that his eating was slowing down. He was not wanting to be loved on, etc. Didn't want to be out of his cage. I thought it was because he knew that there was a storm out there heading our way. Sunday not much eating at all and drank several times during the night. Long drinks. Not wanting to eat this morning or come out. His teeth look fine. He is pee, peeing normal. Any help or ideas as so what could be wrong would be greatly appreciated. He is 7 years old. Has had odontoma surgery a 1 1/2 ago. Also the eye on his surgery side is half closed. Seems to be sensitive to light. Would an eye infection make him not want to eat? I just don't know.

Yes, it would. It would be painful. Bad timing, for sure. Do you have a weight on him? I would see if you can get some infants ibruprophen into him for pain. Can you call your vet and see if they can see him today (before the storm hits?)

I have pain med's for him when his tooth split at the vet 3 months ago. I will start that. Also have antibiotic drops for his eye- a prescription for him. Started that this morning. He'll get it 4 times a day. I will start him on his pain meds.
