I found a juvenile squirrel about an hour ago. Breathing heavy but clear (no clicking/rattling), shaky and has trouble moving around, barks/ is somewhat aggressive when I try to pick her up but calm afterwards, and bleeding from the nose.
What steps should I take?

Also, I've cleaned her nose with a damp cloth and put her in a crate with a couple of old t-shirts in a dark area.

:Welcome :wave123
can you email me a pic of her?
you do not have the capabilities to post them here yourself yet..
I will also private message some members near you, are you wanting a rehabber to take over?
Thank you so much for helping her.

Do you know where the nest is? Can you try reuniting the baby with it's mother? I'm in Lilburn if you need help.

Just came home from being out a bit and she looks like she's doing better. Was curled up sleeping. The nest is about 50 high up in a tree so no way to get her up there.
Could you watch over this baby :Love_Icon and make sure a predator doesn't get her/him! If the mother doesn't come soon you may need to take the baby in and find a rehabber! Are there any in your area? The squirrel board would know.
If you take the baby in the house place the baby on some fleece in a plastic box (that has many holes for breathing) with a lid (so he doesn't run out and all over the house) and put a heating pad on low outside the box and under half the box. If the baby is not cold you can give some pedialyte (1 quart (or 2 cups) warm water + 3 tablespoon sugar + 1 teaspoon salt) to rehydrate and give using a 1 ml syringe (with a nipple if you have one) and slowly to allow baby to swallow; pedialyte is given only for 24 hr! If baby is not too dehaydrated sugar water is good too: 3 tablespoons brown sugar + 1 quart warm water. Then feed warm goat milk formula (3 parts (or 1 cup) goat milk + 1 part (or 1/3 cup) plain yogurt + 1 part (or 1/3 cup) whipping cream / mix and keep in fridge for 48 hours) using a 1 ml syringe and slowly. Feed every 3-4 hrs using the 5% rule ... weight of baby in grams x 5% = ml to feed. Make sure everything you feed baby is warm and store in the fridge :thankyou
