Baby robin

I was just given a baby robin. No it's not a fledgling it's way too young though it has feathers. I put him in a shoebox with a towel in a dark room with no noise. A cat had him but there is no visible marks. I can go to the store later and pick up some cat food. Is there a certain brand that is better for them? And what can I use until then? How often must he be fed?

If you are going to a pet store, they often have baby bird formula. We had a sparrow last year that we fed every couple of hours using the formula. At night they will sleep and not need to be fed but every couple of hours when the sun is up. Good luck.
