He just opened his eyes last night, so he is right at 5 weeks. He eats like a wild man and at least once per feeding gets it up his nose. BTW he is a Fox--wght is 62gm.
I keep an ear (!) out for the clicking sound--I am paranoid about this since I lost a baby opossum to pneumonia last year.
I read the thread about Baytril. I have tabs-68mg large red pills--what amount of this size for a 62 gram baby? How often and how do I keep this from happening again?
I use the silicone nipples on a 5cc syringe and try my best to hold him back from swallowing the whole thing--I can usually hold him back and only let him have the tip of the nipple and control the flow one drop at a time--he does NOT like that and wants to suckle. Any ideas?
thanks in advance.

1---Maybe go to a 1 cc syringe for a while

2---Keep the syringe pointed upwards to your squirrels mouth and keep him tail down--not on his back like a baby.
3--- Stay in control of the flow, dont let him suck it freely, better slow and easy.

Your 5cc is too large, 1cc is what is recomended and gives one better control.
I will try and direct someone here to give you a breakdown on dosing baytril tabs.
