Squirrel fell from nest 2 weeks ago onto the concrete...

His nose was bloody and he was pulling himself to water on the driveway. His sibling fell from the nest, landed on the grass, but died instantly. We left the 5-6 week old baby squirrel out in a lid of a shoe box for 10 hours, the mother never returned... we have been caring for him ever since. Pedialyte, then Esbilac, now peanuts, cheerios, pecans, grapes, and avacado! He is thriving!

Just thought I would introduce myself and see if anyone has any advice... I called and emailed a few wildlife rescue people and they said I was doing the right thing... Hopefully, you all agree.

Easy on the peanuts...remove all the skin on the avocado before serving...

also to help the rehabers can u post pics and they will want an age :) also share her story in the nursery also if ur new with squirrels (like i am/was) its kinds tricky to tell the sex we were calling Olympia a boy untill we found out he was a she lol :P opps the boy penis starts at the belly

Your baby needs his diet tweaked..
He should be on formula two to three times a day,
he needs to be eating veggies...not cheerios and peanuts..
also, please peel all grapes, baby sqs have choked to death on the peel in the past..
can't wait for pics...
hoping for a good update..
yes FV is the choice in formulas..
it is made specifically for sqs..
your little one will respond and develope well using it.
