ok Question.. what can I give Oympia? shes 4/5 weeks old no eyes open yet. she's starting to want to chew. trying to chew on my finer nails. she has rodent block ordered the stuff needed to make hhb type stuff. is there any thing ele I can start her on?

i gave mine a binkey to chew on when she was young and some small sticks and carrots =)

binky?? as in passys ? the things babys suck on cant they chew off the plastic?

yes i use the ones made out of entirely flexible rubber stuff and at that age and still at 8 weeks mine didnt chew pieces of she just chewed and played on it.

The best thing you can offer is the rodent blocks, they make a mess of it at first, not really eating it - just chewing on it - but it does get them used to the taste of them. You can also offer little apple tree sticks - the size of a pencil or smaller. You can usually find those in pet stores.

She has both and she'll have hhb as soon as the vitamins come in and the whey powder I'm make in them my self

I would never give a squirrel any thing that it can chew into small pieces (like plastic) and possibly swallow then choke on........ I would stick with the suggestion of using an apple wood stick or the hhb block --you can even use deer antlers, they are a very good source of calcium.

its not hard plastic its like all flexible im not sure what they are made out of but she liked it when she was real young and even at 8/9 weeks she still chews on it and it hasnt even got a hole in it yet =)
