Is it mixed in with her poop or could it be from urine instead? What are you feeding them? How much do they weigh and have they had any diarrhea?

What city/county are you located in? We have many experienced members in Florida, some of which might be close to you and able to help you.

Babies with diarrhea can go down hill REALLY fast. What kind of history do you have on the baby?

You said Esbilac Goats Milk Formula...are you mixing the Goats Milk formula from this site with the Esbilac?

The Esbilac might be the problem....over the past few years it has been the cause of many bouts of runny poops and even deaths.

Here is the recipe for the Goat's Milk Formula that one of our members created and has been using for eons, with MUCH success.

Goats Milk Formula

3 parts goat’s milk
1 part heavy whipping cream*
1 part vanilla yogurt

Formula will last 48 hours in refrigerator.

* For the first few feedings do not add whipping cream

If I were you I'd stop the Esbilac IMMEDIATELY! Make the recipe I listed above.

Make sure you are keeping her warm too. Place a heating pad on LOW under 1/2 of the container you have them in...make sure it does NOT have an Auto-Shut off, or you will need to keep checking it to make sure it is still turned on.

EDIT: The Goats Milk for the recipe above is the kind for humans. Usually found next to the milk in the grocery store. If not there, you can also find it in a can...just mix the canned version per the instructions on the can, then mix the formula. I believe they also sell a powered version...again, mix per the instructions, then mix the other ingredients to make the formula.

I live in palm bay I've had the babies for a week and the formula is called esbiac goat milk I will change that though on my way to store now should I stop all formula for her and do only pedialite or water

Stop the Esbilac completely.

I would do a feeding or two of Pedialyte, then add a little water to the Goats Milk formula (the stuff you made NOT the Esbilac), then work up to full strength.

Since she's got some belly issues/poop issues right now, DO NOT add the whipping cream right now. Let's get her belly back to normal then we'll add the cream.

EDIT: If our experts disagree, please advise otherwise.

Yes, stop the Esbilac and give fluids. Does she look red or irritated? Although not as common as with the males, siblings can suckle on each other, too. When you go to the store, (grocery store) pick up Meyersberg Goats milk (they sell it in the dairy section, and may also have it in the baby section). You will also need heavy cream and full fat yogurt. I would also suggest you go to Fox Valley Nutrition and order the 32/40 formula, as well, and over time get them on 50/50 gm/fv, but start with just the straight goats milke recipe.

Yes, def. leave the cream out for now, but do add the yogurt.

Can you take a picture of her belly and e-mail it to me? I'll post it for you. Not sure if you have full posting abilities yet.

My e-mail is milosmom041610@gmail.com

The Esbilac may have caused some bloat too.

Bloat can be deadly. Send the pics and for right now do not feed her anything...gotta determine if she has bloat or not.

she is just north of leigh..
I do not have a phone today....
sounds to me as if the babies have parasite and the esbilac is inflamming intestines...
they will not be able to take in nutrition if this is the case..
likely to start loosing major weight..
I would use pedialyte for today and start with very dilute Goats milk formula and I would call Henry's and get some FV immediately...they are 5 miles apart..

Do you have a vet? If I am righht, you need an antibiotic that has several different names...
SMZ-TMP
septra
bactrim
sulfatrim

for now push pedialyte I like the home made best.
1 quart warm water
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt

feed in place of formula, stop the esbilac NOW! NO MORE!!!!
esbilac has been thought to kill many animals since they changed the formulation..

hope you can get some help for your sweeties...:grouphug

Pedialyte should only be given for Max of 24 hours..if you have been using longer, go with a weak sugar water. Get FV formula asap, use it very dilute.

Oh, poor little ones. Yup stop that Esbilac and push fluids. Think Jackie is right. Maybe leigh can even help with the meds? Bright red is usually from inflammation.

Susiet - would you like for us to find a rehabber to raise these for you? Maybe even just get them stabilized? Little ones like this crash very fast and the few minutes it takes to take pics, put them in a post, or even waiting for a response could be critical to their lives. I am not pushing you to do this, I am simply making a suggestion for the benefit of the babies. The little ones deserve the very best (and you are doing a very good job), but at times the years of experience and ability to act instantaneously is what they need.
If you would prefer not, we will by all means help you as much as possible so you can raise them and release them to the trees when they are old enough.

Also, I know it's a never ending battle, but if any of them do have a parasite of some sort, you really need to keep them and their bedding super clean. Without chilling them, try to get the poop off them and wash the bedding in HOT water with bleach. Keeping them as clean as possible will assist in any of the others contracting a parasite, if this is the case.

Have you called Leigh at Henry's yet?

Keep us in the loop regarding what you're doing/buying and how they are responding to what we are advising.

We are here to help you as much as possible.

Do you have a vet? Will you be able to get meds/antibiotics? I have a feeling this is going to be the next "task" for you...acquire meds.

How much are you feeding and how often? Are you making sure their milk line is gone before feeding next meal?
