Could they be ant bites?
When I have gotten babies that were found covered in ants,
they have those pimply looking bumps for a while.
They tend to fill up with a bit of pus.
I get them too actually when ants bite me.

If it is bug bites I believe you can give infant Benadryl to alleviate the inflammation and itching.

Pierre, the finder, has this baby for 10 days already.. I saw it a week ago and he was OK.
I've asked him if he changed anything and he said no.. :thinking

Aside from any illness (which is beyond my expertise here), environmentally it could be an allergic reaction to the formula or even to the the fabric covered in or the detergent used to wash it.

Allergic reactions sometimes take time to build up and show symptoms.

Looks like a case that an old friend of mine had with one of her baby squirrels...... she gave him benadryl and baking soda mixed with water to form a paste that help with the itching & promoted fast healing....... the little squirrel perked right up with in a week.

* I think the pic looks like some sort of bug bite (poss ants).

The baby is on the Fox Valley.
I gave him some fleece I used for my babies.
He uses the same detergent since begining ..
He just said the baby was starting to have this reaction 3 days ago.

I would make up the paste from the baking soda and rub it on him a few times a day and see what he looks like in 2-3 days.......... :)

He will buy the benadryl and baking soda tomorrow.
Thank you.

Give me a weight on him and I will PM the correct Benadryl dose for you to give him every 4-5 hours.

Thank you Carolyne.. I have the dosage chart for this.. :thumbsup

He weighs 70g, so I calculated 0.05cc. Am I right?

could it be insect bites or skin disorder?...
I don't know
I did some looking...
:dono pyoderma, which is mostly associated with a weak immune system, or an underlying issue.
if this were the case/cause, may or may not need ABs, but def needs to address immune system...
Could start by adding FV Boost to the formula..yogurt too,
check for anything that would be stressing baby..mentally or physically..

could be ant bites...

eitherway, I would use the benedryl.
Poor little guy has to be uncomfortable..
he needs extra kisses too..maybe wipe his postules/pimples with witch hazel...:grouphug :Love_Icon :grouphug
I just hate ants...what good are they really...

let us know what they are iwonka...

see what happens..

After a couple of baking soda / water bath the skin is almost clear. :thumbsup

I have also discovered that Pierre never cleaned the baby, so maybe it was a reaction to pee(?)... :thinking
