My sweet Bon-Bon is so sick, I got her the day she was born her mother got killed and she is 3 years old now! I had to go to a new state for a job and then had to leave her for a day and a half when I got back she was wheezing and coughing with a fever!! I do not have a Vet here and someone told me if I get caught with her here they will take her and put her down!! And I can't get back home, and I can't let that happen, so I have been giving her benadryl and breathing treatments. What can I give her for the feaver? I love her so much and can't loose her please help!!!

I am assuming Bonnie is a squirrel...... you can give her children's Motrin for pain or fever....... 1-2 drops depending on weight. How much does she weigh?
It sounds like your Bonnie might have pneumonia and will need some medication for it........ hopefully one of the licensed rehabbers that can dose the medication for you will be along shortly..... in the mean time keep Bonnie warm and well hydrated.

I see she is a Foxer........ I would go with 2 drops of Childrens Motrin, as they are bigger than our Grey Squirrels down here in Florida.

I have 2 licensed rehabbers that are usually up late at night..... I will PM their phone # to you --call one of them and let them know that you posted on the TSB and "Carolyn/Rhapsody" suggested you call them for medication and dose amount.

Thank all of you so much!! She is finally getting some well needed rest, she will drink and eat a couple of bites of food if I hold her, so she's in my arms. I have not had any luck with the Vets around here, I have found a Rebilator that I am trying to get a hold of. And I saw something about a light she need if she doesn't go outside. Will a black light work?

No, no black light (unless she has some Jimi Hendrix posters in her cage).
The ONLY light that actually emits UV, which is what you are looking for as far as processing vitamin D, are Zoomed Repti-sun 10.0, and you want the long fluorescent tubes, not the screw in compact fluorescents. The best prices by far on these are at www.petmountain.com. Reptiles need them too and that is what they are designed for. They require a T8 fluorescent fixture.
What is her diet? Is she getting a rodent block of any kind?

I got sam one of those lights all I did was tell them I wanted a vitomine D light not a heat lamp and it helped.. and remember not to put it up close to her cage the light will work in the whole area..:D

I want to think you all!! I found this rehabber here in Shreveport, La and got her some Baytril. She is still very sick and I am giving her the breathing treatments they are helping her. Again y'all have all helped so much!! I will keep all up to date with how she is doing. And any opinions on how to make sure she stays healthy I welcome them. :thankyou
