How long do you continue the middle of the night feeding?
Nighttime feedings can be stopped at 3/4 weeks old. Depends on the baby really-

I feed through the night until their eyes are open; however, others may advise otherwise.
If I find that they are not interested in food during the night for 3 consecutive nights, I adjust the daytime feedings to fit 2 additional feedings in (early morning and late at night) just to make sure they are getting enough formula, which also equals hydration.
I've had luck with the following feeding schedule:
12am
4am
9am
2pm
6pm
9pm
Like I said, I sort of let them be my guide. I assume you are feeding Fox Valley, which means that you can spread out the feedings a little since FV takes longer to digest. If you are using anything else, you will need to feed more frequently. Again, this is what worked/works for me and others may have different opinions.

My feeding schedule for newborns to 7-10 days (while they still have their umbillical stubs) is:
6 AM
3 PM
6 PM
9 PM
12 AM
If they are emaciated or severely dehydrated, I'll add a feeding at noon.
from 1 week to eyes opening at 6 weeks old:
5 AM
3 PM
8 PM
12 AM
After their eyes open:
5 AM
3 PM
9 PM
Then gradually go down from there as they start eating solids.
I work full time, so I am not able to be home all day with my guys. My schedule works well, though, as long as you are sure to get the full 5-8 % (more towards 8 than 5) in them each feeding. Usually takes them a couple days to adjust, but once they do, they're little pigs at each feeding and I have excellent weight gain with my little tykes.
Certain squirrel species are more needy than others. This is the schedule for foxers, greys, chipmunks, and sometimes reds (sometimes reds need an extra feeding because they're hyper and use their energy like crazy, even as pinkies). Flyers are much much more needy. They need 6 feedings a day (I come home at lunch each day to feed them) until their eyes open and then need 5 for a couple weeks after that and slowly taper off from there.
