here is a list of book I am studying now. they have a lot of information that help in most states.

Minimum Standards for Wildlife Rehabilitation
Available from National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (NWRA)
www.nwrawildlife.org (very inexpensive)

NYS DEC
Special Licenses Unit
625 Broadway
Albany, NY 12233-4752
518-402-8985

Call or write and request a copy of the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Study Guide and Examination Booklet. The cost is about $15

The Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation Study Guide and Exam Book is available by telephone: 1800-657-3757 or 651-297-3000 and also by email at Mn.Bookstore@state.mn.us

The MN set of books is about $50 and worth every penny as it is also a valuable reference guide.

In MI you need to pass the IWRC CWR exam, have a letter from a vet saying they will work with you and a letter from a seasoned rehabber. Then you contact the DNR for the paperwork. After that you have a home visit and pay some fees and wait.
