Maybe a sparrow hard to tell at this age. His yellow beak and mouth tell me he is an insectivore, which will help with feeding. Do you have any baby bird experience? They need to be fed every 20-30 minutes throughout the day...

if any one knows anyone near me that would be willing to take this baby from me it would be greatly appreciated I also got a baby squirrel today no fur eyes closed and a one week old orphan kitten and I will care for them all if I have to but it would be nice if someone lived close who could take the bird I live in the detroit area of michigan not in detroit but in that area
i hope its help a lot of people who find babies birds.
Here the recipe for nestling songbirds .
i had this recipe by a wildlife rehabilitator specialised in baby birds for years.
- 1 cup ( 120gm) Eukanuba chicken & rice kitten formula , soaked in about 1/4 cup water.
-1 ( 71gm) jar beach-nut chicken & chicken broth baby food ( or 35 gm low- salt canned chicken ).
- 1 tsp active-culture plain yogurt or acidophilus liquid
- 2 Tb dried egg white .
- 3.0gm calcium carbonate.
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp avian multiple vitamins ( or custum mix as described below )
Blend in food processor until smooth . Water amounts may varied to achieve desired consistency for feeding. Soaking time is reduced if kitten kibble is pulverized en food processor prior to adding water .
Dry food composition : 46% protein, 22% fat , 23% carbohydrate
Ca: Phos = 2.1
1.3 Kcal/cc
Supplementation with live insects is recommended .
