Hiya All,
Just wondering when I give Skeeter oranges, can I leave the rind? I usually peel and de-seed everything she gets. But they are messy for her, makes her sticky, just thinking they would be easier for her still in the rind, like quarter slices. She would get them more so if I can.:dono

You can leave the rind. Makes it easier for her to hold onto and she won't eat it, probably. Squirrels typically don't eat the peel or rind of anything, if you'll notice. They are smart that way.....that's where all the dirt is. :D

I wash and slice...
I don't peel..
we have citrus trees galore, on the ground you see where the sqs chew thru the skin to get to the pulp, the wilds don't eat the peel, nor do my keepers...
they love oranges and healthy too!

I could understand that, apples do that to Skeeter, so she only gets them once in a while. :D
