Thought if I changed the thread name, it might will get more attention.

I noticed Pips fingertips are swollen this morning. It doesn't seem to bother her, but I'm worried it could be something bad. I did introduce green beans to her yesterday and added calcium to her water. But I'm afraid she's touched her light bulb on top of her cage..

I'm angry with myself, I thought I was doing things right, but obviously am not. :(

I just want her healthy and happy. If someone thinks they can do better than I, I will gladly drive her to you. You can either send me a private message or let me know on this thread. I just want what’s the best for her…

Attached is the best picture I can snap of her foot.. And her cage with the light on top.

tried to re-size, maybe the light shouldn't be sitting on the cage like that , could make the cage posts themselves hot when she climbs on them.

Can you post another pic or two of her foot? I doubt it's an allergy and it could certainly be heat from the bulb, but I want to be sure it's not squirrel pox which often starts on the paws....

Sorry for the late reply. My son had baseball practice.

Attached are a couple more pictures. These are the best I can get, she's a wiggle worm.:D They may need to be re-sized.

It seems not to bother her, she is still her spunky self, eating and drinking as normal.

Thanks again!

In these pics, they don't look swollen to me. Your other thread, one looked pretty red and swollen. I would watch her closely, if she is acting ok and using them with no problems.

She’s acting fine. I know I tend to over-react a bit, LOL!:D Ask my boys! They’ve (Her feet) never looked like that before. I guess it’s from the light. I’ve tried putting her outside and it freaks her out. How do I ease her to not be afraid? That’s the only reason I had the light.

Thanks again!

So, I googled squirrels feet last night and looked at images, not happy with all the pictures that came up, but from what I saw the paws are supposed to look like that. LOL!:rotfl Maybe not as red as my first photo. I thought her pads looked like blisters.. Guess I’ve never noticed before. Please be patient with me. I do over react a bit as I’m still learning. If anything, maybe my post gave the experts a good laugh! I’ll wait a little next time before I send out a 911 post!:rotfl

Also, I wheeled Pip’s cage to our deck around 6pm yesterday. She actually loved it that time. (I stayed with her of course, lol:rotfl ). We were out there for about an hour.
