I want to raise a baby squirrel.....

In my country there are no animal control board,atleast in action......pet shops do not sell squirrels......I cant adopt a squirrel from the animal control or buy one,but there are hundreds of these mischiefs running all along the place....and they prefer to live in coconut trees......This is the situation of my state....I've never seen a real baby squirrel in my entire life eventhough I 've done a lot of research on them(like raising them,feeding,sheltering......etc).I deeply desire to raise a baby squirrel......I tried being friendly to the wild adults by offering them nuts and all but they didn't bother to pick it up as food is in plenty as fruits and others for'em to feed.......pls tell me what shall I do....I want a baby squirrel so badly......I promise to take good care of him/her.pls!!!help me....

It is best to enjoy them in the wild as nature intended, and only interfere when you must to save a life. That said, you can make yourself convenient to be contacted if an orphan is found.

If there are people who rehab wildlife, you can speak to them and let them know that you would be interested in taking a baby that cannot go back to the wild for some reason.

Do you have companies that cut trees down for people over there? If you have trees, you must! Many tree cutters accidently disturb squirrel nests when they do this. Making sure those people have your contact info so they can call you if they do can help you raise a baby and help the baby too.:thumbsup

thanks,but trees are not very often cut in my region....but they do fall sometime s during monsoons which is right now!
