fell out of nest

Help tonight on my deck I hear a thunk and when I looked over there was a small squirrel. It fell out of the nest. It is still on the ground not far from my deck. What do I do?

Is it a baby??
If it is wait a while to see if Momma comes, Please keep an eye on it though, in case cats or hawks are around. When it gets dark, mamma will not longer come, bring it in .
Place it in a small plastic container with holes in the top.Some fleece to hide in. Depending on the age of the baby we can give you more info if you get this far.

It is getting dark here. If mom does not come down in the next few minutes, you need to get that baby inside. I am sending you a pm. Ok, you cannot get pm's yet. I am in the same state, and it is pretty much dark here now. Is it moving around? What size is it in comparison to the palm of your hand? Can you see the nest? If mom isn't down, you need to get that baby in (at least for the night). Do you have a small cat carrier (unless it is really small).
